The author posts very useful ideas and code, but the diagrams are sometimes in poor resolution and identifying the electronic components is almost an impossible task. This is very noticeable in the water pressure setup. I'd give five stars if it weren't for that. If a printed version with better image resolution were available I'd get that instead.
Learned a few things. As I mentioned for his other books, English isn't his first language so it takes a few readings sometimes to be sure what has to be done.
One of the more interesting hobby books I've gotten for arduino. It's essentially instructions for using the arduino uno to make various measurements (resistance, capacitance, etc.). So far, the projects I've tried have all worked. Would recommend.
justo a quick and good way to learn the basic on using sensors or easy sensing techniques using the arduino board,no complicartions, just take out thebboard, install and try. of course you will have to get some components but its easy, good also for introductory teaching for the board and basics digital electronics.
Fair amount of proofreading that was not done. Does provide a lot of examples though. If you are not familiar with using sensors on an arguing, this is a good start.
Manoj makes it easy to use a inexpensive Arduino (or even a ESP8266) to measure the environment around you. I use these projects in a lab where I work. Not just for hobbyists! I highly recommend this and his other books.
Straight to he point, the book covers the most important physical measurements in an easy and clear mode. It is also included the connection diagrams. Really helpful for those who acquired an Arduino sensor kit available at Amazon for example, which unfortunately came with simple instructions not totally clear.
Author shows how to make various measurements, with just enough text to get his point across. Simple, well-done text.
